(While Pastor Serves Zion’s Vacancy)

Sunday morning:

• 8:00 (moved from 8:15)
• 10:30 (the usual time)
• No Saturday evening service in Port Hope

Zion, Harbor Beach:

• 6:00 Saturday evening
• 9:15 Sunday morning

	Mission Statement St. John Lutheran School provides educational opportunities in the Christian setting to help each child fully develop physical, academic, emotional, social, and spiritual potential; to prepare each child to live a life of service to God and society; and assist the school families in their responsibility to provide a Christian upbringing for their children.
	Who Serves our Children and Families? Certified teachers. Pastor. Support staff (instructional and non-instructional). Foster Grandparent. Volunteer and classroom aides. Public school teachers for shared classes. Huron Intermediate School. District services available (speech pathologist, social worker, school psychologist, consultant services, etc.).
	What is our Ministry? Every aspect of a child's experience at St. John Lutheran School is Christ centered.

Daily religious instruction..
Weekly chapel services
Curriculum includes: mathematics, social studies, science, language arts, fine arts (including music, art and band), PE, shared classes with public school.
Positive school climate.
Children of all races and denominations are welcome.
Classroom computers.
Co-curricular activities. (field trips, plays, day camp, etc.)
Extra curricular activities (school choirs, hand chimes and hand bells, choir, athletic program, spelling bee, etc.)
Preschool through grade eight are fully accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) and Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS).
Fully licensed preschool.
Congregational involvement through worship services, special celebrations and projects.
Community service projects to encourage outreach and involvement in our community.
